Book and supply lists for the 2023-2024 academic year

At the beginning of each academic year textbooks are issued to each student to use at home for the remainder of the year. While at home these textbooks remain the property of Great Hearts Anthem and require a one time deposit that is fully refundable upon return of the textbook in permissible condition. If you would like to purchase an additional textbook please contact the front office for ISBN information.

It is the tradition of Great Hearts Anthem to inspire students to develop a personal library of literary classics they can keep, annotate and return to throughout their academic careers. Therefore we encourage parents to purchase these “Classics to Keep” as shown on our consumables lists so that your student may graduate with an impressive library of literary masterpieces. However for families that do not wish to purchase these texts, students will be given access to an academy copy to be used as a part of the curriculum. Students should not mark in the books provided by Great Hearts Anthem and should be returned once classwork is finished.

“Classics to Keep” are available through Barnes and Noble and other fine retailers. When purchasing these texts please see the provided titles and ISBN numbers. So that all students use the text aligned with the class and curriculum, parents MUST purchase texts with the exact ISBN provided.

Several of the consumables are available only through Great Hearts Anthem. As confirmations are received for each order, the books will be placed in your student’s locker or otherwise delivered to your student.

The lists below reflect both the Classics to Keep books and consumables per grade level. For quick access the link to the purchase portal for the consumables is included on each list.

Note- in addition to obtaining Classics to Keep from book retailers. Please plan on ordering these for your students as soon as possible to ensure they have these items on the first day of school.

In regards to backpacks and lunchboxes for Archway (grades K-5) students, please note the following:

Students may bring backpacks and lunchboxes to and from school.  These items must be stored on the designated shelving units in the classroom during the school day.  Due to small storage spaces, rolling backpacks are not permitted without a doctor’s note.  Backpacks and lunchboxes should be free of icons of pop culture (peace signs, cartoon characters, tie-dyed patterns etc.) as well as messages that are offensive or inappropriate to the academy environment.

Be sure to also review the Uniform Standards.
